Geometry Collection

“The knowledge which geometry aims is the knowledge of the eternal” – Plato
Who’s afraid of geometry? Most. Who uses geometry? Everyone. Without formulas. Because one way or another, geometry dominates our lives and living. We divide space around us even without calculations, seeking for aesthetics and symmetry.
Nature doesn’t use formulas either. Yet geometry is everywhere; think of the lines of beaches and fields, perfectly shaped snowflakes, or the most frequently occurring shape in the natural world: the circle. We have spherical planets, eyeballs, blood cells and raindrops…
Geometric, interlacing patterns. Lines and shapes overlapping each other, rhythmic linear motifs…
The sources of inspiration are infinite. My “Geometry” collection brings together shapes and colours that keep dancing in my head for years already, ever since I came across their beauty and fills my heart and soul with peace and pleasure till today.
Andalusia is the Ambassador of geometric art and vivid mosaics, the place where East meets West. It is there that Moorish heritage commingles Greco-Roman and Islamic design.
Bardo National Museum in Tunis, housed in an emblematic palace, has also formed the basis of inspiration for this collection. It ‘s been over 20 years I first visited the palace and I still hold intact the vivid colours and the beauty of its tiles, wall murals and mosaics, Greco-Roman treasures from Carthage.
Italy – Ravenna – is the place with stunning wealth of mosaics, immensely influenced by Byzantine ruling.
LILYSCraftedFeelings pays homage to this rich architectural and design tradition with an inspired range of artisanal motifs captured into the Geometry Collection.
